Terms of Service

Effective date: September 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Undrafted LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("Undrafted," "we," "us"). They cover your use of the Undrafted website at undrafted.app, the Undrafted iOS app, and everything we offer through them (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use Undrafted

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You may use the Service only for your own personal, non-commercial networking — reaching out to people about your own career, education, or interests. One account per person.

2. What the Service does

Undrafted helps you find people you already have something in common with at organizations you want to reach — a shared school, hometown, or path — and drafts a first message you can send from your own email client. To do that, the Service:

• Reads the résumé and profile details you give us and uses AI to understand your background.
• Searches third-party professional data sources for people at the organizations you choose.
• Uses AI to write draft emails and LinkedIn notes personalized to each person.
• Opens those drafts in your own email app (Gmail, Outlook, or Apple Mail) for you to review and send.
• Lets you keep track of who you've reached out to and where things stand.

Undrafted never sends anything on your behalf. Every message goes out from your own email account, by you, after you've had the chance to read and edit it. You are responsible for everything you send.

3. AI-generated content and contact data

Drafts are generated by AI and can be wrong, awkward, or make assumptions that don't hold. Read every draft before you send it. Contact information comes from third-party data providers and may be outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate — a person may have changed jobs, an email address may not work, a "warm connection" may be weaker than it looks. We don't verify any of it individually and we don't guarantee that anyone will reply, meet with you, or help you.

4. Your account

You sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Apple. We don't store a password for you. Keep your sign-in provider account secure — you're responsible for everything that happens under your Undrafted account. Give us accurate information about yourself; the drafts depend on it, and misrepresenting who you are to the people you contact is a violation of these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

Undrafted exists to help you make real, individual connections. You agree not to:

• Send spam, bulk marketing, or unsolicited commercial messages, or use the Service to build mailing lists.
• Harass, threaten, deceive, or impersonate anyone, or contact someone who has asked you to stop.
• Copy, scrape, export, resell, or share contact information you obtain through the Service, or use it for anything other than your own personal outreach.
• Use automation, bots, or scripts to run searches, send messages, or otherwise interact with the Service.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, trials, paywalls, or security measures, or share your account with others.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or build a competing product from the Service.
• Use the Service in violation of any law, including anti-spam laws (such as CAN-SPAM) and laws governing the use of personal data.

We may set limits on how many searches, contacts, or drafts your account can generate in a given period, and may adjust those limits over time.

6. Your content

You own your résumé, notes, and anything else you upload or write in Undrafted ("Your Content"). You give us a license to use Your Content to operate and improve the Service for you — for example, to parse your résumé, find matches, and generate drafts. We don't use Your Content to train AI models, and we don't share it with other users.

Drafts the Service generates for you are yours to edit and use however you like. We make no claim to them.

7. Contact data belongs to real people

The people the Service surfaces are not users of Undrafted and haven't agreed to anything with you. Their information is provided to you solely so you can reach out to them, one at a time, about a genuine connection. Treat it accordingly. If someone asks us to remove their information from the Service, we may do so, and it may stop appearing in your results.

8. Plans, trials, and billing

Free use. We may offer a free tier or beta access with limits on the number of searches and drafts. We can change those limits at any time.

Undrafted Daily. Our paid plan is billed monthly or annually, at the prices shown at the time you subscribe. Prices may change; we'll give you notice before a change takes effect on your plan.

Trial. New subscriptions may start with a free trial. A payment method is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and you'll be charged at the end of the trial. We'll email you before the trial ends.

Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then. Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately.

Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we don't give refunds or credits for partial periods, unused searches, or downgrades, except where the law requires otherwise.

Payment processing. Payments on the web are handled by Stripe. Purchases made through the Apple App Store, if offered, are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms, including Apple's refund and cancellation policies. We don't see or store your full card number.

Taxes. Prices don't include taxes unless stated. You're responsible for any applicable taxes.

9. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from Settings on the web or in the app. Deleting your account removes your account data as described in our Privacy Policy and cancels any active subscription.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate for a reason other than your violation, we'll refund any prepaid amount for the unused portion of your subscription.

Sections 3, 6, 7, and 10 through 14 survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that contact data will be accurate, that drafts will be appropriate, or that your outreach will lead to any particular result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Undrafted and its members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service, even if we've been advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars ($50).

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You'll defend and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, messages you send, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms. If we make a material change to these Terms, we'll notify you (for example, by email or in the app) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem with us, contact us first at zach@undrafted.app and we'll try to work it out. Any dispute that we can't resolve informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

15. If you got the app from the Apple App Store

These Terms are between you and Undrafted, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Apple isn't responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and aren't on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

16. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver.
